What is it That We Are All Searching For?
It has been a while since I last posted to my blog. There is always some excuse that comes up, on the road, moving, kids graduating, etc…But in order to succeed with anything there must be commitment and we just have to find the time for the things that we are passionate about, then we will succeed.
I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately and in the process have asked many others to search their souls as well. The main question is: what are you looking for that will keep that passion about your day to day alive and kicking? Well, I received some pretty amazing feedback. The general consensus from everyone that I asked this question, including myself, was balance. We are looking for balance in life, in relationships, family, our careers… it goes on and on.
The big question is: how do we attain this balance? And, is it attainable? Well, one thing that I was taught in my upbringing was that if you can imagine something, it can happen. The key is to really see in your mind what you want and then create it. And focus, focus is also a key ingredient. If we have so many thoughts going in 5 or 6 or sometimes even 10 directions, how are we supposed to put enough energy into one of these ideas to make it happen when we are stretched so thin?
One of the most amazing things that I learned from the iPodcasting Interviews that I did at http://www.wiredrightnow.com/witi/inspire was from the questions that I received from the audience. Now, these were all career women in the field of technology from companies like Intel, IBM, Microsoft, just to name a few. I was expecting questions having to do with the new trends in technology, oracle programming, things of this nature, instead, almost every question had to do finding ones self, finding balance, which in turn would bring peace and happiness. And most expressed that once they found that balance, they would need to be able to connect to something or someplace with like-minded people to maintain that balance.
This has inspired my partner and I to create such a place and we will be unveiling this very soon. Check back to hear more and hopefully participate in this new adventure where we have found our passion.
